Jury Acquits defendant
The defendant was one of eight defendants charged with historic cases of sexual grooming. The defendant denied the offence which dated back decades. The trial began counsel for the defendant had made various detailed disclosure applications which resulted in the prosecution accepting there were issues identified that could not be resolved. The judge directed the jury to acquit the defendant.
